• Camera Data: We access your device's camera solely to allow you to take photos of receipts and handwritten notes.
• Image Data: We process the text within your photos (OCR) to create digital lists.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous technical data (device type, OS version) to improve app performance.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information collected to:

• Convert your handwritten notes into digital, editable lists.
• Extract total amounts and items from receipt photos for expense tracking.
• Provide a searchable history of your physical documents.

3. Data Storage & Security

• Local Processing: Where possible, image recognition is performed on your device.
• Cloud Storage: If you sync data across devices: "Encrypted copies of your digitized notes are stored on our secure servers." Otherwise: "All photos and extracted text are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers."
• Image Retention: We do not use your receipt photos for any purpose other than providing the ClevrCart service to you. We do not sell your data to third-party advertisers.

4. Camera Permissions

The app will explicitly ask for permission to access your camera. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings, though the app's primary features will cease to function without it.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not share your photos or extracted text with third parties, except for essential service providers (e.g., cloud hosting) who are contractually bound to keep your data confidential.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (such as the EU/GDPR or California/CCPA), you have the right to access, delete, or limit the processing of your data. You can delete your data at any time directly within the app settings.
